The City of Lenoir is the largest city and seat of Caldwell County, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and just west of the Brushy Mountains. The city has a system of paved greenway trails with more than nine miles of trails throughout the city. Open to hiking, biking and other non-motorized traffic, the greenway trails run along creeks in the city and connect to city parks, libraries and other public amenities. There are also three miles of natural surface trail for off-road mountain biking.
