Katie's Falls (Ellijay)

Katie's Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on a tributary of North Prong Ellijay Creek in Macon County, North Carolina.  The waterfall is located in private property, but is viewable from the road.

Directions:


From Franklin, head east on US-64 from US-23 for 3.2 miles and turn left on Ellijay Road.  Turn left on Ellijay Road and go 5.3 miles and pull off on the left next to the waterfall.

Hike Description:


The waterfall is right along the road so no hike required.


A plaque at the falls says that Jacob Parker Moore named the waterfall for his daughter in the early 20th century.
