Gorge Overlook Trail starts at Cedar Falls and leads up to the north rim of Queer Creek Gorge.  The trail follows the rim closely until passing by Rose Lake.  There are a few overlooks along the way.  The trail then turns north and runs to Old Man's Cave Upper Falls.

Grandma Gatewood Trail starts at Old Man's Cave Upper Falls and leads downstream through the gorge past Devil's Bathtub, Old Man's Cave and Lower Falls.  At Queer Creek, Whispering Cave Trail splits to the right.  Grandma Gatewood Trail goes left to follow Queer Creek upstream to Cedar Falls.

Points of Interest:

Cedar Falls:

Cedar Falls is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the park and most popular spots to visit.

Devil's Bathtub:

Devil's Bathtub is a pothole in the creek upstream of Old Man's Cave that resembles a tub.

Old Man's Cave:

Old Man's Cave is a recess cave that was inhabited by the "Old Man", Richard Rowe, a recluse who lived in the cave in the 1800s.

Old Man's Cave Lower Falls:

Old Man's Cave Lower Falls is a 25-foot waterfall just downstream of the cave.

Old Man's Cave Upper Falls:

Old Man's Cave Upper Falls is a 15-foot waterfall at the head of the gorge.

Secret Falls:

Secret Falls is a 20-foot waterfall on a tributary of Queer Creek.  I don't think it's named so we called it Secret Falls.

Whispering Falls:

Whispering Falls is a tall waterfall on a tributary of Queer Creek.  It's a very small stream so best to visit in high water.

Wildlife:

Giant ironweed (Vernonia gigantea)
