Hidden Falls (Gauley Bridge)

Hidden Falls is a 40-foot waterfall on Laurel Branch in Fayette County, West Virginia.  I am unsure of the landowner.

Warnings: The rocks around waterfalls are very slippery.  There is no trail and the embankment is steep.

Directions:

From Fayetteville, head north on WV-16 for about 9 miles to US-60.  Turn left on US-60 west and drive 3.8 miles and pull off on the left side of the road across from a culvert and guard rail.  Parking is very limited.

Hike Description:

Cross the street and climb up the embankment next to the guard rail.  It's very steep.  Once up, cross the railroad tracks and the waterfall is visible.
