Greensboro Arboretum

The Greensboro Arboretum is a 17-acre botanical garden that features a number of plant collections and display gardens.  The arboretum is managed by the City of Greensboro and Greensboro Beautiful, a nonprofit organization.  The site was originally Anniversary Gardens, a project of the Greensboro Council of Garden Clubs in the 1950s.  The city worked with Greensboro Beautiful to construct and landscape the arboretum, which was opened to the public in 1991.  Open year round and admission is free, though donations are appreciated.
