Hike Description:

Pick up Glen Burney Trail at the end of the parking area and follow into the woods.  In the first 0.4 miles, the trail passes the ruins of the town's old sewer plant and crosses New Year's Creek on a footbridge.  At 0.6 miles, the trail passes by the top of the Cascades.  The trail gets a little steeper after this point.  At just under a mile from the start, there is a split.  Turn left (right goes to Glen Burney Falls) and the trail passes near the top of Glen Marie Falls, but there's not much of a view here.

The trail descends down towards the base.  About half-way down, there's a winter view of the upper portion of the waterfall that can't be seen from the base.  But the lower section can't be seen from here.

Continue on the trail down to the base.
