Forty Foot Hole Waterfall

Forty Foot Hole Waterfall is waterfall in three sections on West Cache Creek in Comanche County, Oklahoma.  The waterfall is located in Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.

Directions:


From Lawton, head west on US-62 for about 13 miles and take the exit for OK-115.  Turn right on OK-115 and go 4.7 miles, then bear left on OK-49 west.  Drive 3.7 miles and turn left on the refuge road and follow for 2.5 miles to the parking at the end.

Hike Description:


Pick up the Kite Trail and follow for about 0.3 miles and take one of several obvious paths to the left towards the canyon rim above West Cache Creek.  There's a nice view of the falls from the rim of the canyon.


I found a path to climb down into the canyon for a view of the base.
