Cathedral Falls (New River)

Cathedral Falls is a 60-foot waterfall on Cane Branch in Fayette County, West Virginia.  I am unsure of the landowner, but is publicly accessible.

Directions:


From Fayetteville, head north on WV-16 for about 9 miles to US-60.  Turn left on US-60 west and drive 3.3 miles to the parking area for Cathedral Falls on the right.  It's a popular spot and parking is limited.

Hike Description:


A bridge crosses Cane Branch below some nice cascades.


A path across the bridge leads a hundred feet or so to the base of the waterfall.


It's a real beauty, but the lighting was poor when we visited.
