Bureau of Land Management

The Bureau of Land Management manages a number of conservation areas, preserves, and other public lands, mostly in the western US.

Conservation Areas:


Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area:


Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area protects almost 200,000 acres of desert and mountain terrain just west of Las Vegas, Nevada.


Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area:


Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area protects almost 50,000 acres of mountains and canyons south of Las Vegas, Nevada.


Preserves:


Big Morongo Canyon Preserve:


Big Morongo Canyon Preserve protects a part of the transition zone between the Mohave and Sonoran deserts in southern California.
