Burden Falls Wilderness is a 3695-acre wilderness area in Shawnee National Forest in Pope County, Illinois. The wilderness features natural characteristics of the Shawnee Hills, including sandstone ledges and steep cliffs and bluffs. The area's namesake is a seasonal waterfall on an intermittent stream in the southern edge of the wilderness. A 3.5-mile trail runs along the top of the waterfall and is open to hikers and equestrians.
