Boone United Trail

The Boone United Trail meanders through a captivating outdoor haven that beckons both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in its natural splendor.  This scenic trail offers a harmonious blend of tranquility and challenge, guiding hikers along the flank of Howard Knob through a conservation easement.  The land is owned by Boone United Methodist Church and parking is on their property so please be respectful when visiting.  Although the trail leads close to it, there is no access to the summit of Howard Knob from the trail.

Directions:

From Boone, head east on King Street/US-421 for about 0.4 miles past US-221 and turn left on New Market Boulevard.  Go 0.3 miles and turn left into Boone United Methodist Church and park in the back near the trailhead.
