Blackwood Farm Park

Blackwood Farm Park is a 152-acre Orange County park along NC-86 between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough.  The Blackwood family purchased the farm in 1906 and grew corn, cotton, wheat and potatoes as well as dairy cows.  Orange County purchased the farm in 2001 and the park opened in 2015.  After renovations, it was reopened in 2023 and today features historical farm buildings, open spaces and more than four miles of hiking trails.
