Beaverdam Lake Day Use Area

Beaverdam Lake Day Use Area is one of several access areas that make up Falls Lake State Recreation Area. Located north of the visitor center off Creedmoor Road/NC-50 in the northern corner of Wake County, Beaverdam Lake features picnic areas, short hiking trails, a swim beach and a boat ramp. Beaverdam Lake is one of the only areas of Falls Lake where gas motors are prohibited so it’s a nice place for kayaking or paddleboarding. The only mountain mountain biking trails in Falls Lake State Recreation Area are also located in Beaverdam. As a day use area, there is no camping, but it is open year round. An entrance fee is charged daily in the summer and on weekends in the shoulder season; no fee is charged to enter in the winter.
