Bay Tree Lake State Natural Area is a 609-acre undeveloped park in Bladen County, managed as a satellite of
Singletary Lake State Park. The park protects lands on the northwest side of the 1418-acre Bay Tree Lake, one of several Carolina Bay lakes in Bladen County. As a State Natural Area, there are limited public amenities. An unpaved parking area off NC-41 provides access to several miles of trails throughout the preserve. Additionally, 4WD access to the lake is allowed for kayaking by contacting the park office at Singletary Lake.

From Elizabethtown, head east on US-701 north for 7.3 miles to White Lake. Turn right on NC-41 north and drive 3.8 miles to a small parking area on the right.

There are over 4 miles of hiking trails throughout the natural area, blazed with white diamonds. The trails lead through the pine forest surrounding the lake but do not lead to the lake itself.
