Apalachicola National Forest

Apalachicola National Forest is a 573,000-acre National Forest is the Florida Panhandle southwest of Tallahassee.  The forest was established in 1936 and is named for the Apalachicola River.  Today, the forest is home to numerous recreation activities, including hunting, fishing, camping and hiking trails, including a section of the Florida National Scenic Trail.
